"Dieting" during the Holiday

I didn't really want to use the word diet, however I am actually referring to eating habits.   For the blogs sake let's use the word diet.

Many people avoid dieting during the Holidays mostly because they know they will not stick to it or fall off in the process.

I'm doing something different this year and I actually planned it this way.  Last year during the Holidays is when I began gaining my weight back.  The trick wasn't the calories or how much I ate.  It was merely bringing back old habits.  For instance, on Thanksgiving we all make it a point to EAT.  After all that's what the fellowship does.  It brings people together to eat.  On this day most people will eat and eat, eat some more and oh don't forget the deserts and pies.  And why drink water when you can opt for something sweet and sugary.  Lest we also forget the left overs that are eaten for days.

So this year I am not all about the eat, eat, eat.  I really just want to enjoy the family relax and not think about how the food has me "stopped up."  That's normally what happens to me during these Holidays anyway.  My body is truly not used to eating that way constantly.

I'm not necessarily dieting per se' because that's not a word I like to use when I have altered my eating habits.  However I will say that I am going to be getting back to my healthy habits I previously had, EVEN THOUGH it's the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.  I have been going round and round with this in my head for some time now that it has truly altered my thinking.  My mentality is so far from eating plate after plate.

What's so special about this blog?  That I am getting back on my regimen before and during the Holidays.  Because that's just how serious I am.

*Remember real change starts today it doesn't wait til Monday the beginning of the Month or as a New Years Resolution.
